Recycling Plant Tour & Recycled-Content Crafting Event

Event Description: The city of Ann Arbor is helping the community celebrate America Recycles Day by hosting an event where families can construct bird feeders using their empty 2-liter bottles. This event will take place Saturday, Nov. 14 at the Materials Recovery Facility, 4150 Platt Road. Starter seed will be provided for participants however individuals should bring their own 2-liter bottle. All interested attendees must call (734) 794-6000 ext 43118 to make a reservation. Space is limited. In addition to the bird feeder construction an optional tour of the city’s recycling plant will be offered following the event.

Event Description: Bring community awareness of paper recycling program to Taylor Exemplar Academy.  The community is invited to attend the event on Thursday, November 15.  People are asked to bring paper items (magazines, office/school papers/newspapers, etc.) for recycling and in return will recieve a reusable grocery tote in order to promote the school's "Going Green" initiative.
