Waive entry fees at parks in exchange for recyclables during the week of America Recycles Day.

Conduct a household hazardous waste collection.

Announce a Christmas tree recycling program for late December and/or early January.

Sponsor a backyard composting seminar.

Promote the mulching and composting of fall leaves.

Run a series of recycling videos on your cable access station.

Have a paperless office day. Encourage staff to use e-mail and edit documents on-line.
